ST SOPHİA        : The ancient basilica, built by the architects Antemius and Isidoros during the reign of the Justinian the Great and his wife Theodora, it’s one of the architectural marvel of all time.the beautiful decoration include stunning byzantin mosaics  very well preserved during the ottoman time while it has served as a mosque.

HİPPODROME : Charriot race course  of the roman and byzantin times,held 100.000 spectators and featured objects from all corners of the empires like Egyptian  Obelisque,Serpentine Column.Even though the seats and main structure  disaeppared ,it’ s still a nice place to stroll and to imagine the roman and byzantin time in İstanbul.

 indirBLUE MOSQUE    :  Famous for its  6 minarets and exquisite blue İznik tiles.Built by  Sultan Ahmet 1. in the early 17th century and designed  by the architect Mehmet Aga who was also a jewelier and pupil of the the great architect Sinan.

 GRAND BAZAAR :   The  biggest covered bazaar of ancient time still remaining the heart of the commercial life in the old city with 4000 shops suiting every taste and every pocket.

SULEYMANİYE MOSQUE : The mosque of the Soliman the Magnificent built by the famous  Grand  architect Sinan between  1550 and 1557.It’s the largest of the İstanbul’s imperial ottoman  mosque having  its complex of charitable institutions.Every detail in this mosque reflecte the genius of the architect the Great Sinan and the imperial time of the Soliman the Magnificent and his wife Roxelana.

CHORA CHURCH :  The 11th century church of St Saviour in Chora  is , after St Sophia the most important byzantin monument in İstanbul .The wals are decorated with superb 14th century frescoes and mosaics on a gold’s a remarkable  exemple of byzantin art that influenced the european renaissance.

This tour starts from the Million Stone, then walk along the Sogukcesme Street  observe the typical wooden house of the ottoman period and  go along the walls  of Topkapi Palace enter in the Gulhane Park; the rose garden of the palace, see there the column of the Gots then have a rest and keep going following the tramlines, see  the Alay Kosku the Review or Parade Pavilion,from whose latticed windows the  Sultan could observe the comings and goings at the palace  of his Grand Vizier .Across this the Sublime Porte ,which in former days led to the palace and offices of the Grand Vizir. Arrive to Sirkeci crossroads,on the right is the station,designed by the german architect Taschmund opened for use in 1890 after Orient Express began carrying many famous people including Agahta Christie from Paris to İstanbul.

Then cross   the street and arrive on to Eminonu Square.Have a look at the Yeni Camii ;New Mosque  facing Galata bridge built between 1597 and1663.then strolling  in Spice Market smelling the  enticing aromas of cinnamon,caraway,saffron,mint,tyhme and every other concevable herb and spice.Cross the Galata Brigde taste the water pipe as you survey both sides.From Karakoy take the world’s  oldest  and shortest metro up to Pera Galata district.Walking on the famous pedestrian street of İstiklal during the trip see also the fish market,the passage-way of flower as well as some other nice and important buildings of the street.the end of the tour is on Taksim square.
